Queer Grief Club Grief Release

Welcome to Queer Grief Club’s Monthly Grief Release for August. This is a monthly, drop-in group for Queer grievers to come together in community to share and release their grief in a supportive and nurturing space. You are invited to show up authentically and vulnerably, with no pressure to share or speak. This is a confidential, peer-support space and there will not be a recording of the event.

Loose Structure of Grief Release:

-Welcome and Introduction & Intention

-Grounding Visualization Exercise or Ritual

-Grief Shares

-Closing

Free of charge, though donations are greatly appreciated (suggested donation $5-$10) so that I can continue to do this work and keep it accessible for my community. www.paypal.me/queergriefclub Venmo: @jamie-thrower

Group Agreements:

-My grief experience is my own, and I speak only from my own experience.

-No advice giving unless specifically asked by an individual

-Respect and maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all individuals within the group. What is shared in the group should stay within the group.

-Recognize and appreciate the diversity of experiences within our LGBTQ community and honor the intersections of other identities within our Queerness.

-Remember to care for your own emotional and mental capacity during group discussions. Practice self-care and set boundaries if you need to protect your own well-being.
